CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR PRESIDENT AND DIRECTORS OF THE AUSTRALIAN ALPACA ASSOCIATION LTD

The fourteenth Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Australian Alpaca Association Ltd is to be held at virtually (i.e. due to COVID 19, no physical meeting will take place) on Monday 23 November 2020 at 8pm.

This year, the Interim President will retire from the President’s position.  Five members currently holding the position of Director (Existing Directors) including one co-opted director, will retire from office.

The Interim President, Prue Walduck, will be eligible to nominate for election as President. Those directors who will retire are Sarah Wheeler, Carolyn Austin, Brett Fallon, Mick Williams. There will be four positions on the Board as Director to be filled and all retiring Directors will be eligible to nominate for election .  Cathi McMullen as a co-opted Director will retire and is eligible to nominate for election as a Director.

NOMINATION FOR ELECTION

Nominations are called for the following positions on the Board of the Australian Alpaca Association Ltd:  President and Directors (FOUR)

ELIGIBILITY FOR NOMINATION

To be eligible for nomination as President or a Director, a nominee must be:

a)       a Life Member;

b)      a Full Member Individual or Corporate (provided that only a director of a corporate Full Member nominated to vote on behalf of that corporate Full Member may stand for election to the position of Director); or

c)       a Full Member Joint.

Those seeking to nominate for a role on the Board should refer to the Australian Alpaca Association Ltd Constitution, in particular clauses 9-12 which are pertinent to any potential nominee.  The Constitution is available in the member’s portal of the AAA website.

Nomination forms and supporting information must be received by the Company Secretary at the Australian Alpaca Association Ltd National Office being PO Box 5108 Braddon Act 2612 either via Australia Post or email (ceo@alpaca.asn.au prior to 5.00pm 9 October 2020. Australian Alpaca Association Ltd cannot accept the responsibility for any delays associated with delivery of nomination forms to its office address.  Incomplete nomination forms will be deemed as invalid nominations and be withdrawn from this process.
